One of the best discoveries while in Bucarest - the museum, their small bistro and the people met while visiting the Museum made this experience everlasting! Will definitely go back and continue to recommend this place - it gives you the opportunity to discover houses, traditions, objects from the entire Romanian territory all in the same place. Check which houses are opened while you visit, in most of them you can get in and see the furniture, traditional objects and the regional costumes.

Outdoor museum with a lot of traditional Romanian houses. The museum offers you a glimpse in the past and gives you an idea how the people were leaving in those times. The time spent at this place was very relaxing and gave me the opportunity to deconect from the every day noise. The price of the ticket is low around 5 euros (20Ron). Personal note: for children I think would be a nice place to see how their grand-grand parents were leaving.

You can enter from the park and sit in front of the lake. Back to the past visually and looking through windows as not many homes open maybe because it was less than 1 hour before closing at 7pm. It was a pleasant stroll on a sunny day, left in the middle street entrance and visited the otherside of the park where musicians were busking near the gardens.

Well this was a lovely surprise! Such a great museum, you feel like you're outside of the city. The village is very well kept and the site is quite big, prepare to spend 2-3 hours easily here. Each house has a description and some can be visited inside. Feels very authentic overall. I'm originally from Romania living abroad for a few years and this village reminded me of my youth at my grandparents. I cannot recommend it enough.

an oasis of tranquility in the middle of the city. a place where you can see traditional houses and churches in many parts of the country. in the houses you can see the furniture and the objects of use inside and out of the yard. the atmosphere is very pleasant. although it is a place visited by many tourists and locals, surely you can find places where you can sit on a bench to relax. there are many fairs where craftsmen come from and where you can buy various ceramic items, clothing, jewelry and even traditional food.
